The Alden Star Double/Pair has been selected by FISA as the Official Adaptive boat to be used at the World Championships in Switzerland for 2001.

The Alden Star 29' has received international acclaim for its stability, appearance, and convertability from a double to a pair. Special adaptive equipment is available that includes Adaptive extended length riggers, Adaptive fixed seats, and stabilizers for training. The Alden Star 29' hull design can be used in open water conditions.

Hull Construction:

  • Vacuum bagged laminate of S-fiberglass and epoxy resin, the same resin utilized by Olympic Class rowing shells
  • 10-12 mil. gel coat finish
  • Full length stringer creates I-beam construction, flotation


    Special Features:

  • Available in carbon or fiberglass construction
  • Available with a combination of Standard racing or Adaptive racing rigger
  • Uniquely designed stabilizers can be moved for close dock launching
