The Michicraft L Model Canoe is a standard duty aluminum canoe with 0.040 hull thickness.

The L-15 has stretch formed sponsons on the sides above the water line. These "safety foils" effectively give the canoe a wider profile for extra stability while keeping the streamlined profile during normal paddling. The inside of all L Model Canoes are painted with a non-skid paint.
